If some kids are going to get abused and mistreated by teachers anyway then why give them a system that makes a hell of a lot easier for them to do it?

Does it make it easier? Clear evidence of trauma makes it comparatively easy to prove physical abuse. It’s a lot harder to prove psychological abuse which is what occurs now. Removing SCP doesn’t stop abuse, the abuser just finds another method. It would be far more effective to take away the shield laws and impose significant penalties on abusers.
